Job Description
Technical Manager to support platform operations for Odfjell Technology. Overall responsible for technical services to support our platform teams and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
- Key support for Rig Managers and their onshore/offshore operations teams regarding technical issues, downtime prevention and recovery.
- Manage and coordinate team of direct and indirect reports within platform technical team.
- Focal point towards major OEM suppliers regarding cooperation and support, quality of services, equipment and spare parts.
- Ensure the effective planning and execution of maintenance activities to minimise impact on drilling operations and set goals and KPI’s for maintenance management.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience managing teams of technical experts and support functions.
- Extensive experience with technical support related to Maintenance philosophy, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), troubleshooting / Downtime management, Management of Change, Engineering modifications and upgrades.
- Good knowledge of standards and regulations relating to platforms.
- Good leadership and collaborative qualities to cooperate with offshore/onshore supervisors, subject matter experts, suppliers and client representatives.
- Structured, determined and task focused
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
Competencies
- Engineering degree or recognized technical qualification with relevant experience within O&G drilling area.
- 10 years’ experience in a technical supervisory role within the drilling industry.
